But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
For the past five years, RESET has sponsored volunteers traveling from around the country to serve hundreds of students and leaders coming to experience Christ. While it has traditionally has been recognized as a volunteer opportunity, RESET is truly a local missions trip for our staff. As we enter a new season, we have re-envisioned what the summer camp experience looks like for all attendees, including staff. We must reflect on the organization's commitment to the discipleship of students and leaders, and remember the commandment that Jesus has given to us: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15).
Beginning this year, RESET will become a local missions opportunity for dozens of disciples from around the country. Village Leaders will take on the role of missionaries, and raise their support in order to serve. In doing this, we can “reset” our approach to this amazing work God has called us to, and help ensure that the gifts of generous donors are primarily used for serving students and youth leaders.
