Pastor Chris Cox is the Youth Pastor at Calvary Community Church in Hampton, VA. He also has a passion for leadership development and has had the opportunity to speak at a number of leadership conferences that focus on youth and young adult ministry strategy and implementation.
If you asked him what's his current mission, he'd tell you: to prevent a generation from becoming what happened to them by exposing them to what happened for them.

GROUP LEADERS

Important documents required to attend

1) Liability Insurance

  • Groups (church, ministries, organizations) interested in attending RESET must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance for their group.
  • Individuals attending RESET must provide their personal insurance.
For questions about insurance, please contact Adrienne White at awhite@shocco.org. 2) Shocco Springs Waiver & Release Form (Online Form)
  • Each participant must complete the Shocco waiver after completing registration. This form is REQUIRED for each attendee. To complete the form, click here.

Chaperones

Chaperones must be 19 years or older. In order to maximize the experience for students and leaders, RESET requires a 1:4 same gender Chaperone/Student ratio. This ensures that students are accounted for and that there is at least ONE chaperone in each room. Our camp staff will be there to lead instruction time and oversee activities. However, it is the responsibility of the chaperones to monitor their students. Our camp staff will be provided with the contact information for each group leader should any behavior concerns or emergencies arise.

Room assignments

Group Leaders are responsible for assigning individuals to each room. Groups are given rooms based on the number of attendees and gender. For example, if your group brings 15 people, 10 guys, and 5 girls, the group will be assigned 3 rooms: 2 guy rooms, 1 girl room. Each room can hold up to 5 people. Individuals will only be housed with other members of their group. You will not be housed with individuals outside of your group. At least one chaperone (19 years or older) is required in each room.
