HEALTH & SAFETY
RESET Camp is committed to keeping students, leaders, and staff safe. We are preparing to take COVID-19 precautions by working closely with local public health officials and aligning with local, state and federal public health guidelines. This section will be updated frequently as we continue to receive new information. RESET will be following the guidance of Shocco Springs and camp guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
A few steps we are taking to keep you safe:
-
Camp Nurse
-
Frequent and intensified cleansing and disinfecting of hand surfaces and high traffic areas
-
Multiple sanitizing/hand-washing stations
-
Hand-washing instructions posted in bathrooms
-
Sanitizing activity equipment before and after use
-
Daily temperature and health checks
-
Wearing masks / face shields required
-
Social distancing will be enforced
-
Portable meal options for those who want to eat outside of the dining hall in other designated eating areas
-
Maintaining small groups
-
Collecting health forms for each camper
-
Providing resources to attendees on good hygiene behavior (hand-washing, covering mouths when sneezing/coughing)
-
Staff training on recognizing illnesses and symptoms of COVID-19
-
Providing guidance to Group Leaders on how to recognize symptoms of COVID-19 to assess students and chaperones before traveling to camp
-
Recommended COVID-19 testing and 14-day quarantine before and after camp (if possible)
-
Campers, leaders and staff who are sick, have been diagnosed, have symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 within 14 days of camp are prohibited from attending
In Case Of Emergency
Should a child, leader or staff member become ill or show symptoms while at RESET, the individual will be quarantined. The parent/guardian listed on the camper's profile will be contacted immediately if the camper is under the age of 19. A possible shut down of all camp operations could be the result if signs of symptoms are widespread. Please be aware that we will doing everything in our power to keep all campers safe and their parents/guardians well-informed.
VILLAGES
are small groups divided by grade. They will also be your "teammates" throughout camp participating in games and challenges to be crowned Village Champions!

are designed for groups to debrief about the day. We understand that although camp is a fun-filled experience, it is critical that family group time is set aside in the schedule. This gives leaders and students the opportunity to connect, reflect on the day, and discuss takeaways from the day’s message. Each group will be assigned a RESET staffer to support the leader in facilitating.
Family Group facilitator assignments will be made the closer we get to camp.
